Poperette Popcorn Machine and Coke Vendo 81b Restoration log

The Customer had ordered a Restored Popperette Popcorn Vending Machine and  restored Vendo 81b Coke Machine from me recently.
The Popcorn Machine I've obtiained for him is one that was owned by a friend of mine and  I will be getting back into my shop to go through it to ensure proper operation.. This machine should be here in a couple of weeks and I will post photos of it at that time.

The Customer is also recieving a fully restored Vendo 81B  Coke Machine out of my personal inventory.  The machine is currently an unrestored original that is 100% complete and will go through the total restoration process.  Below are photos of the machine as it started out and of the process of the restoration.  updates will be provided on this site perodically until the machine is done and ready for shipment to the customer.

Coke Machine was stripped down in the shop recently and all parts sorted for Plating, Chroming, Powder and Polishing. Main Cabinet and Door are off to the Body shop for media blasting, body prep and paint.
All internal parts will be taken apart, chromed, plated, or powder coated to make like new..
Folowing photos of are the dissasemly process:

Body came back from body shop, see photos of work being performed, Body cabinet is back in my shop and insultioan and tub assembly are done as well as breaker strips, drain tube and shelve supports.. Main door will be done next. Internal peices are starting to come back from chrome, plating etc.. and final assembly has BEGUN!

Pictures show it best, Main door is back from paint and was reassembled with all new insulation, rewired, light bar, new door liner and gaskets. Stainless Steel hardware throughout.
Main door was hung on cabinet and then coin mech and related parts where are reattached. Coin door recieves it's newly chromed coin entry bezel, coin cup and other hardware. Coin door is installed on machine.

Compressor was sandblasted , repainted, rewired and tested with new wiring, thermostat and fan motors. compressor unit was reinstalled in machine and tested.. Gets icey cold! See photos.

Only thing left is a few final details, locks, decals, bottle door, trim and final tweaking and then packaged for shipping very shortley.

Here is where I'll document the Popperette Refurbishment. Cusomter wanted a Popperette and I found one that was restored about 10 years ago.. I agreed to bring it into my shop and clean it up for him and make sure it's in working order. I recieved the Popperette today and here are the initial photos of it .  Overall it's in Very Good Condition, and appears to have been restored over 10 years ago.. paint is good, insides are clean and complete. It appears as if it has not been run since restoration as no sign of oil in the pan or reserve and heater connection is off to avoid a possible burn out of the heater which was a good thing..  I will reconnect the heater and fill with oil to check and after a final cleanup, will send it off to the customer with his fully resored Vendo 81B that I'm restoring for him as well.

I spent about 10 hours on the popper over the weekend and cleaned it all up, checked all connections, and ran about 20 batchs of popcorn through it.. the machine ran just fine... made some adjustments and then drained oil, emptied the old popcorn , shot some more photos and video of the operation (before dissasembly) and then wrapped it up as its' ready to go.  Photos below are of the cleanup process, tinkering and taking apart globe, holder, and front plastics and funnel for shipping purposes.
