Customer had purchased this machine for me to restore for him. The VMC Pepsi 81 is a much harder machine to find than the Coke 81's and this will be a prize possesion for the customer when finished. Machine was fairly complete , had a non change giver mech in it, and missing some small parts. Overall a good machine for restoration and it has begun!
Machine was inspected, and then tore down , with all items bagged and tagged.
The Machine had a water line running through it for a side fountain at one time, we removed the copper coil and patched and filled the holes in the cabeinet.
Machine is at the body shop for sandblasting, body work , prep and paint to the two tone Pepsi Blue and White colors...
Machine is blasted, and all body work is performed to remove dings dents, and imperfections in the metal.
Body is painted a darker Pepsi Blue , per Customer request (photos make it look lighter than actually is) Paint is to match the Pepsi logo decal that we'll be using..
Main door is at sign painter to get the Pepsi logo painted on the embossed lettering,, will be done soon.
Main Cabinet has been put back together, new insulaiton, breaker strips and ready for internals..
