Bennett 756 Gas Pump Restoration
9/27/09:  Customer dropped off his Bennett 756 Gas Pump for a total restoration. Pump is a pretty nice , and straight original pump with some parts missing. Below will be an update log as well as a photo log as we complete this restoration. Enjoy!
9/27/09:  Pump was completey dissassembled and broken down , all parts labeled, photographed and put aside for restoration, panells where stripped of hardware and all components removed from frame. Frame and panels are ready for sandblasting.
10/9/09:  Picked up the panels from the painter on Friday, He had some issues getting them straightened out but they turned out really nice.. hard to believe the same skins... there was ALOT ofrust under the paint that wasnt' exposed till after blasting and ALOT of work had to be done to get them to come out like this...  Still working on the frame, need to get it painted but too cold today, will do soon, and all of the other parts are still needing to be blasted, cleaned painted, polished and ressembled. Ordered thre restoration parts from Gas pump Heaven and recieved them today... Now back out to the shop to get working on it...
10/16/09:  All small parts are blasted and getting prepped for paint.. Received most of the repro parts from Gas Pump Heaven this week and will be ready for that stuff when the time comes.. Having some issues with original electrical system, will have to modify to get it to work properly...
10/27/09:  Assembly has begun on the pump and it's going to be a beauty.. All parts have been cleaned, painted, polished and ready for reassembly. Frame was prepped and painted and all components reassembled onto pump. Original Light fixture was shot and unrestorable and new light fixture was installed for proper function and safety. Panels where installed and computer cleaned, painted and reinstalled into pump.
10/29/09:  We'll I got a few nights free to work on the pump and it's 99.9% done.. just waiting on the Id Plate to get back from teh engravers.. other than that, it's DONE.. Looks great, Better in person than in the photos as I tried taking good photos in the shop last night but they came out either too dark without flash or too bright with flash, but you'll get the idea... Really love this model pump and can't wait till you see it in person!

with skins on, and doors leaning on, already had hinges off.
Ready for beadblaster
All parts that will be restored.
